FAQ
Q: What are the benefits for me taking part in the Game?
A: Get true insight into real business in a World class environment, win an iPad 2 and last but not least get one step ahead in the Management Trainee recruitment process.
Q: Do I have to be a smoker to participate in the game/work in the company?
A: No! You most certainly do not have to smoke to play the game. And you don’t need to smoke to work with us!
Q: I am not a final year student; can I still play the game?
A: We target people who are studying at university, or just recently finished, to play our game.
Q: How long time do I need to spend on the game?
A: You can spend as long as you like! However, we do tend to reward active and contributing players, but in the end it is all about delivering a good business case and interacting well in the forum.
Q: I want to play with my friends from university. Is this possible?
A: Yes. We encourage cooperation, but be careful not to stick to just one circle of friends as this might lead to a narrow set of ideas. Bring your ideas to the table, and listen to other’s ideas!
Q: I am not interested to work for British American Tobacco – can I still play the VBC?
A: Even if you are not interested in working for British American Tobacco, you are welcome to play. You may discover playing the game that British American Tobacco has some assets you did not expected.
Q: Who decides who wins?
A: The game is based around peer-selection, meaning that the players themselves will participate in assessing each other. If many people like you ideas, you are most likely to win.
Q: Do I have to study a certain degree or level to participate?
A: We are in particular looking for final year university students, either finishing their Master’s or finishing their Bachelor’s. No restrictions are set for what subject you study.
